About Camilla
Why I Do This Work
“I used to think something was irreparably wrong with me.”
Not in the abstract sense—truly, viscerally wrong. I remember the episodes of rage, hopelessness, and intense sobbing before my period, and the shame hangovers after saying something I didn’t mean. The misery and the fear of what was going to happen next never seemed to lift - until my next period would begin.
I also remember sitting in doctors’ offices, being offered SSRIs after a five-minute conversation, told it was “just hormones,” or worse—nothing at all. I even recall one male GP telling me that I was lucky that my boyfriend put up with me with my “PMT” - that was a real highlight!
And when I started digging for answers, even in holistic health spaces, I found more confusion. I was told to meditate harder. Cut carbs. Eat meat again. Try progesterone. Try ignoring it. I was already trained in naturopathy, but even in that world, PMDD was misunderstood as just something that was based on hormonal fluctuations and micronutrient deficiencies.
I threw the textbook at it- you name it, I tried it. My lovely psychologist at the time told me that she had never had a client who had worked so hard to get better. Luckily, it paid off, in a relatively short time period, and now I can help others in the ways I desperately needed at the time.
The Beginning
My name’s Camilla Brinkworth. I’m a degree-qualified naturopath, trauma-informed emotional processing practitioner, and—like many of the women I work with—a survivor (and thriver!) of PMDD.
I built this work because I lived it. And I refused to believe that the only answer was to suppress, numb, or “cope” with a condition that was clearly calling for something deeper.
The work began with me, alone in my kitchen in Australia, holding a plant-based smoothie in one hand and sobbing into my tea with the other, wondering how I could know so much about natural health and still feel this broken.
What Was Missing
In the world of naturopathy, nobody was meaningfully talking about the trauma aspect of PMDD, or depression and anxiety for that matter..
No one talking about nervous system regulation.
No one linking childhood trauma and familial emotional patterning to monthly breakdowns.
No one honouring sensitivity as a gift rather than a diagnosis.
And certainly no one that I saw offering a safe, natural approach that took into account the life experiences, spiritual identity, and the emotional complexity of women like me.
There were very few people supporting women with PMDD at the root through trauma work. And those who were, were charging a fortune for a couple of sessions, and didn’t take into account the important physical considerations.
Nobody was asking: Is your way of eating and living supporting recovery? Are there deficiencies or gaps in the diet that are driving symptoms? Are there other underlying health conditions that are exacerbating this monthly nightmare?
In the world of conventional medicine, I saw women being misdiagnosed, dismissed, handed a prescription, and sent on their way—feeling more despairing than before.
So I decided to build something different.
The Work
Today, I help support women worldwide suffering from PMDD using a root-cause approach that weaves together:
Holistic Nutrition
Naturopathy and evidence-informed natural medicine and herbal support that looks at your whole being
Nervous system repair through guided meditation, and subliminal healing tracks
Trauma-informed therapies like Family Constellations, Emotional Mind Integration, and Rapid Core Healing to rewire the subconscious memories that may be driving your symptoms, and help foster deeper self-worth and boundaries.
This is not surface-level symptom management. This is an invitation to deep transformation—the kind that changes far more than your luteal phase.
And it works. I’ve watched so many women feel more like themselves again—often for the first time in years.
“I finally feel like I’m not at war with myself anymore.”
“My relationship survived, and I feel proud of how I handle my cycle now.”
“I didn’t even realise how disconnected I was—until I started healing.”
Where I Am
I'm currently based in Ubud, Bali, working with women around the world via online consultations and programs.
You’ll usually find me in a quiet corner of the tropics, surrounded by notebooks, herbal tinctures, and my juicer.
Before this, I ran a clinic in the Byron Bay Shire of Australia, seeing people in-person, but also working with clients across Australia, the UK, Singapore, Dubai and beyond. This is truly international work—because PMDD is everywhere, and women are tired of suffering in silence.
The Future (The Sequel)
This is just the beginning. I’ll be launching:
A self-guided online PMDD support course (2025) – for those who want to begin gently, in their own time
PMDD Retreats in Bali (2026) – intimate, trauma-informed immersion experiences for women ready to go deep and connect with a likeminded sisterhood.
This isn’t just about battling PMDD—it’s about rewriting the narrative. That your sensitivity is sacred. That your body is trying to communicate, not malfunctioning. That you’re not broken, you’re just being asked to listen more deeply.
Final Words from Me
“You deserve to feel like yourself all month long. Not just for two weeks out of four. You don’t need to choose between natural health and emotional stability. You can have both. You can transform your premenstrual experience. And you don’t have to do it alone.”
Let’s begin. Book your PMDD Strategy Call and take the first step toward PMDD support that doesn’t override who you are—it helps you come home to her.

I’m a qualified naturopath (BHSc) with a speciality in plant-based nutrition (GradCert Human Nutrition), and trauma-informed practitioner with over 15 years’ experience in holistic health. I first trained in Reiki Levels 1 & 2 when I was 18 years old (back in 2006!), have been practicing yoga since I was 16 and became a Kundalini yoga instructor in 2012. I hold advanced training in Family Constellations therapy, Emotional Mind Integration, and Rapid Core Healing. I’ve also walked my own healing journey with PMDD, which gives me a deeply personal understanding of what this work requires — not just on paper, but in real life.

Yes, I work with clients all over the world via secure online video sessions. I’ve supported women from a wide range of cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds, and I approach every client with deep respect, sensitivity, and an open mind and heart. Whether you’re seeking English-speaking support in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, or beyond — you’ll be met with care, curiosity, and zero judgment. This work is always tailored to your worldview, values, and needs.

The initial strategy session isn’t just a quick chat — it’s a full hour of my time, energy, and expertise. I use this session to listen deeply to what’s going on for you, start mapping out your symptom patterns, and offer you real insight (and often, immediate relief). Whether you decide to work with me further or not, you’ll walk away with more clarity and understanding of your body than most people get in months of trying to figure it out alone.
